We have an important update regarding the reopening of the Garifuna Cultural Center. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our reopening has been postponed. However, our mission to preserve and share the Garifuna story does not stop here.

Through years of conducting tours, meeting historians, and visiting other Garifuna communities, we have gained a

broader perspective of our culture, and we are excited to offer a new experience that allows visitors to connect deeply with our history and traditions.

Introducing the Echoes of the Garifuna Tour

If you’re looking for a meaningful and enriching cultural exchange beyond the popular drum circle performances, we invite you to join our new Garifuna culture immersion tour in Roatan.

What to Expect:

➡️Introduction to Garifuna Culture – We begin at a scenic viewing deck, a landmark in our community, where you’ll receive an overview of Garifuna history.

➡️Traditional Lunch & Cultural Exhibits – We continue to a Garifuna-owned restaurant for a home-cooked meal. While we dine, we’ll explore the artifacts and exhibits, with in-depth explanations of their significance.

➡️Spirituality – Our final stop is another community landmark, where we will discuss the intersection of Garifuna spirituality, faith, and ancestral traditions.

This tour is designed for travelers who seek a deeper, more authentic experience of Garifuna culture. It is an opportunity to learn, engage, and reflect on the richness of our heritage beyond the common commercialized presentations.
